Auto-Battler is one of the fastest-growing subgenres of Strategy games. This unique combination of RPG and chess mechanics has lured millions of players worldwide, thanks to the Auto Chess mod for DOTA. Since its inception in early 2019, Auto Chess has dominated the auto-battler scene. However, like most popular trends, DOTA’s main competitor League of Legends, would also launch their auto-battler on the same year.

That said, we are here not to provide a straight-up comparison between Defense of the Ancients’ Auto Chess and League of Legend’s Teamfight Tactics. Instead, we will make a short comparison between the mobile and PC versions of Teamfight Tactics. For those new to the title, Teamfight Tactics comes with all the essential elements found in an auto-battler where a team of players competes in an online arena against other teams through strategic team optimizations and compositions. If you are familiar with Auto Chess, then getting used to Teamfight Tactics is as easy as eating pie.

With that out of the way, let’s check the differences between the mobile and PC versions of Teamfight Tactics.

Teamfight Tactics Mobile Requirements

The first thing that any new or veteran Teamfight Tactics need to consider is that you can log in to the mobile version using your Riot Games account. By that, you will be able to grab all items such as arena skins, Little Legends, and emotes. This feature is an excellent start for players, especially those who are not always on their PC.

Next, Teamfight Tactics requires a powerful mobile device to play. Although the game only needs a 2GB+ of RAM, and Open GL Version 3+, Android version 7 or newer, and a 64-bit OS. You need to have at least have 4GB RAM, 64 GB storage, Android 10, and a powerful processor to enjoy the game without lag; if you have a more powerful device, the better.

No Riot Points in Mobile Version

Another thing that the player should consider when playing TFT on mobile is that it does not use RP or Riot Points. Although using you Riot log allows you to import your Arena skins, Little Legends, and other items, store items in the mobile version uses the standard real-world currency just like most mobile games. Take a look at the example given by Riot Games below:

“A Little Legend Egg on PC has a price 490 RP, which means it converts to $3.99 on from stores when it gets rounded to the closest available pricing tier. This price alters our international costs. It costs $9.99 and 1295 RP to attain The Galaxy Pass+ on mobile.”

It’s still the same. All you need is to calculate or convert your riot points using the formula above to know the RP equivalent of your mobile purchase.

Teamfight Tactics Mobile interface vs. the PC version

Teamfight Tactics on mobile plays the same as the PC version; however, given the platform, there are minor differences, a player should consider. First, the mobile version follows the same grab and place mechanics familiar in mobile game titles. Players can still look into the opponent’s boards between rounds. Another is that the mobile version features brilliant details when it comes to the cards in the game.

As brilliant as the game may look in mobile, the same cannot on how it plays. Unlike the PC version, TFT on mobile usually encounters lags, especially on the later rounds of each session. The developers are currently working on these issues, so expect them to disappear in the future; nevertheless, a powerful device can solve it.

To that end, playing Team Fight Tactics on mobile is an excellent substitute for the PC. It does not mean that it’s better, but the performance is decent enough for those playing the game on the go. Teamfight Tactics mobile is still a new game title. If you are into the auto battler scene on mobile, you better get on this bandwagon as early as now at the Play Store and App Store.

Teamfight Tactics Systems

Galaxies

  • The champions have all the opportunity to fall out the coin on death, especially the leading ones.
  • The Neekoverse gets detached from the game.
  • All of the players can now get the same three component items instead of two. Also, the Galactic Armory galaxy gets adjusted.

  • You can now be able to pick up things like the delay at the end of the round has returned.
  • If someone went into overtime, the tiebreakers should now do the math correctly.
